About
VROOM VROOM
VROOM VROOM is a type forward book inspired by Japan’s classic sports cars and the visual energy of vintage racing culture. Celebrating iconic models like the Toyota 2000GT, Datsun 240Z, Mazda MX-5, and Nissan GT-R, the book transforms automotive history into a bold typographic experience.
At the core of the design is the Fit typeface, designed by David Jonathan Ross, Gor Jihanian, and Oded Ezer. Its ultra wide, modular forms echo the speed, symmetry, and force of racecars on the track.
The book invites interaction through a stamp style system that visually highlights each car’s features. These graphic “spec stamps” reference both racing data sheets and collectible memorabilia, blending nostalgia with contemporary print design.
