VROOM VROOM

VROOM VROOM is a type-forward book inspired by Japan’s classic sports cars and the visual energy of vintage racing culture. Celebrating iconic models like the Toyota 2000GT, Datsun 240Z, Mazda MX-5, and Nissan GT-R, the book transforms automotive history into a bold typographic experience.

At the core of the design is the Fit typeface, designed by David Jonathan Ross, Gor Jihanian, and Oded Ezer. Its ultra-wide, modular forms echo the speed, symmetry, and force of racecars on the track.

The book invites interaction through a stamp-style system that visually highlights each car’s features. These graphic “spec stamps” reference both racing data sheets and collectible memorabilia, blending nostalgia with contemporary print design.
